US ESTA with UK ILR

Hi,

We have planned a visit to the USA. We are all British citizens, but my brother was recently granted UK ILR. 

We are confused about the ESTA. Can he apply for the ESTA or will he have to apply for the normal B1/B2 visa?

If he is eligible for the ESTA, then should he be required to attend an interview or he will apply online and travel on e-visa?

Are British passport holders required to attend an interview at the US Embassy in London for the ESTA?

I need understanding of the interview for both British citizens and ILR.

What is his nationality? If he is from Pakistan as your flag indicates, he needs to apply for a visa to the embassy and doesn't qualify for an ESTA. His US ILR is relevant only in the UK.

Whether he can apply for an ESTA depends if he is one of the nationalities allowed to on the esta programme.

There is no interview for an ESTA usually. It is simply a digital entry visa.

Yes, we are natives of Pakistan and have become British through naturalization. But my brother recently switched over to ILR.
