Hi! I have just moved back to the UK from Brazil with my fiance. She entered the UK on a marriage visitor visa and we will be getting married in August. We are now thinking of moving here permanently and I have been looking into the financial requirements for a spouse visa. We have about £30k in savings between us and I see that this can be used to supplement my income so I don't need to earn the full amount.
Currently about £17k is in a Vanguard ISA account and the rest is in my wife savings account in Brazil (Santander). We were thinking of moving the money to the UK so that it is in one place but I just wanted to check that it is OK for the money to be in and ISA account. Does anyone know if this is alright or would you recommend I just keep it in a current account to be safe.
If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
