You can't travel with OCI, you need to take e-visa until you get your new OCI

What do you mean by eVisa? Being British citizens you can't apply for a visa for the UK. This may be a question for the Other countries subforum.

A British citizen cannot get any form of visa for the UK. Do you mean a evisa for India?

Hi
I understand that your son already has OCI and a renewed British Passport. Although the OCI is linked to Old Passport, you can travel with existing OCI and new passport. Do carry the old passport just to be on a safer side. I don't understand why you are so tense about it.
Please read below the advisory from the HCI London... having to renew OCI every time passport is renewed is no longer valid. You may have to upload new passport copy and photos as per specification in the https://ociservices.gov.in/miscService
Please refer to this notification of HCI London to help you relax and enjoy your trip to India

Thanks

Hi,
I have same issue with my dad’s OCI, as he has recently renewed his UK Passport and I have updated his OCI with the new passports details through miscellaneous. My dad’s age is 71 and as of today we have not received an update.
1). Can my dad travel with his old passport and OCI card to India? Does his age affect him from travelling?
2) Can he still apply for E visa to India whilst he still waiting for his new UK passport to be updated on OCI?
Thanks
Kam

After 50 years you don't need to update your OCI details, you need to carry your old passport and OCI
