SAR acknowledgment letter not received

Hi guys,
I have a quick question please, I have applied for SAR in order to see whether there is any issue with my 10 year long residency on the 15th January using first class mail service, but I have not received the acknowledgement letter yet. So by today, it has been two weeks now. Does it normally take this long?
Any advice or information would be helpful please.

Hi Guys, do they send SAR acknowledgement letter when they receive your SAR request?
If so, how long it will take from them to send you such letter?
As I have applied for SAR almost three weeks ago but nothing received from them at all.

I have moved your post to your existing thread as it had absolutely no relevant in the EEA PR thread in the British Citizenship forum where you posted it.

A SAR can take up to 40 days and a letter is not always sent. You will need to just be patient.

Update: I have received the SAR acknowledgment letter this morning. It says they will process it within 40 days though not sure about the start of the 40 days whether from the the date they received it or from the date written on the acknowledgment letter.
