does tenancy agreement affect working visa?

Post by london_journeyman » Tue Mar 29, 2016 11:05 am

Hello

I have been looking everywhere online and couldn't find any information about it.

Firstly, I would like to explain how it came up to that. my girlfriend's flatmate has been complaining that we are too loud when i come over. We always try to be as quiet as possible and not cause any issues, but the problem is that the walls are way too thin. So, recently he had a go at my girlfriend by telling her that she has broken the tenancy agreement by having me stay there overnight and on 2 occasions by leaving me alone in the house when she went to work. He said that this breach of contract could affect her working visa which is due to expire in 6 months.

She is Australian and came here on a 2 year visa. Is it true that a tenancy agreement affects her working visa?

All the help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Not an issue at all. This would be a civil matter and unlikely to end up in court.
