Tier 2 Dependent Visa from UK

Post by harshit.kapoor » Fri Sep 18, 2015 5:57 pm

Hi

Both me and my would be wife are right now on Tier 2 general visa. We are planning to get married in India in couple of months and will get our marriage registered there as well. Once we are back in UK I am planning to move on Tier 2 general dependent visa. After going through UKBA guidelines it states that we need marriage certificate to apply for dependent visa but it doesn't say explicitly say UK marriage certificate. Does anyone have any idea if Indian court marriage certificate will work for dependent Visa application in UK or not???

Any help is appreciated.

Many Thanks
Harshit

Any valid marriage certificate is acceptable. There is no rule that it has to be a UK issued marriage certificate. It should be officially translated in English too.
