Existing visa validity after new visa application is rejecte

I am currently in the UK in T2 ICT LT visa which is valid until Jan 2018. My wife who has a T2 dependent visa until Jan 2018 has applied for a T2 General Visa from our home country and is awaiting a response.

In case (and we hope it doesn't) the T2 general application is rejected, can she still travel back to the UK using her T2 dependent visa? Or will the dependent visa become invalid as well?

I believe if your wife's visa is refused it will invalidate the T2 Dependent visa as the rules state your last immigration decision superceds previous visas grants.

Only if a NEW visa is granted. Where does it says her dependent visa is invalidated?

Extant leave may or may not be revoked. Depends on the circumstances.
