Query on Changing Tier2 ICT to Tier 2 General

Hi,
Is it possible switch to Tier 2 General from Tier 2 ICT?
If changed to Tier2 general visa will the Visa validity for next 5 years irrespective of Tier 2 ICT validity?
My Tier 2 ICT Visa stamped date - 2 Mar 2012.

You can only changed/apply for Tier 2 General after serving a 12 month cooling off period outside the UK.

Tier 2 ICT does not lead to ILR, so time spent in this category based on when you applied for ICT is irrelevant. Any Tier 2 G will be a new 5 year period to ILR.
