Tier 2 dependant visa

Post by Mjazam » Sun Dec 30, 2018 11:16 pm

Hi all,
My wife is on tier 2 dependant visa with my previous sponsor expiring on 24/4/19.I got new tier 2 sponsored visa in october 2018 but did not renewed my wife visa because her visawas still valid until 24/04/19 and i dnt have enough money to spend at that time.

Now my wife wants to travel outside Uk and coming back end of march 2019 with me on her current visa which is expiring on 24/04/19.Our plan is to get her visa renewed in april 2019.My question is do you think there will be any problem for her travelling back on my previous employer tier 2 dependant visa although its valid until 24/04/19 and she is coming back on 30/3/19.I will be travelling back on my new employer tier2 general visa.

I noticed its clearly documented in tier 2 dependant guidance that the dependant is not must required to change their visa if main applicant is changing sponsor and can stay in uk until the expiry of their previous PBS dependant visa .

I am bit confused about travelling in and out of UK.

Your help will be highly appreciated. Thanks

No issue. She is free to travel.

Are you aware that the IHS fee is doubling on 8th January??

Thank you CR001 for ur useful advise.
Yes i am aware of IHS fee increase.

The reason why i am delaying to renew my wife visa is because of maintainance of funds issue.my bank account on 28th november dropped to 1350 pounds. And to apply for her visa i need 630 pounds for her and 945 pounds for me to be maintained for 90 days.but i am not very sure if i am not applying for myself then why i need to maintain 945 pound for me.can you guide me with it.Because while filling application for my wife visa renewal there was step to mention about bank statement.

Your advice will be highly appreciated.

To extend her visa on her own, she needs £630 for 90 days only.

Thanks CR001...So it means if she attach my bank statement with 630pounds maintained for 90 days will be enough for her visa.

And do you mind sending me a link for that as i tried to find it last night and the impression i got from gov website was that i need 945 +630 maintained in my account eventhough my dependent is applying alone using my bank support.
