Tier 2 General - COS vs VISA

Hi All,
I presume COS is an independent activity from actually applying for VISA. My cooling period will end in next 3 months.

Can my employer apply for future dated COS before cooling off period completes? Please note that I am not talking about VISA application here.

A CoS must be used within 3 months, so plan accordingly. YOUR time to apply after 12 months cooling off is separate to the issue of CoS.
