Help - Can i apply for a Tier 2 General Dependent, if main applicat of Tier 2 is still waiting for a decision?

Hi,

My case is a bit complicated:
1- Me and my wife were granted Tier 4 Student Visa and is valid till 30 of March 2019
2- She has got a Sponsor and is changing her visa to a Tier 2 General, but is still waiting for a decision, even though she has done a 10 working day decision and is already 12 working day without decision.
3- We applied separately, because her visa was payed by the employer and really believed that a decision would be made within 10 days
4- I need to apply for the visa within this Thursday the 14 of March, because if i apply later i am classified as an overstayer

My question is:
- Can i apply separately for a Tier 2 dependant, before she gets a decision?
- What if she doesnt get a decision within Thursday, what should i do?

1. Please do not tag your questions onto other members' topics.

2. You must apply online before your current visa expires. You might have to include a covering note about the pending application. It really would have made more sense to apply at the same time.

Last question :

- As my Visa expires on the 30 of March 2019, when is the last day I can apply ? Is it 14 days before the visa expiry date or am i wrong?

You can apply up to the date your visa expires. The date you submit and pay online is the date of application.

Not sure where you get the 14 days before visa expiry from
