Applied for extension of Tier 2 ICT UK visa, after 60 days received my passport and old BRP back.

Applied for Visa extension for Tier 2 ICT, inside the Uk, procedure took almost 8 weeks and yesterday I received my passport (with no change in Visa) and old BRP card. Is this what happens with the applicant?? Is that normal?? Very confused about the status.
Even the lawyer hasn't received any decision letter or new BRP card. He says he will chase the HO on that. Very casually, I can't even tell how much pressure I am going through and by the mid of may month my visa will expire. Should I ask my employer to reapply for extension at premium service?

Why not simply wait a couple of days and see if a letter arrives and your new BRP card. They are not sent together with your documents.

There is no 'premium same day service anymore'.

You simply need to wait to hear back from HO.
