CoS dates for Tier 2 general extension

Hi

My employer issued first CoS for the period of Sep 1, 2016 to Aug 31, 2019 and HO issue BRP expiring Sep 29, 2019.
My employer said new dates for 2 year extension CoS would be from Aug 31, 2019 (overlap with the expiring date) till Aug 30, 2021.

if I count the total period of sponsorship it would be from Sep 1, 2016 - Aug 30, 2021. It it one day missing 5 years.

Can you please check if ILR requirement of 5 years on Tier 2 General would be impacted by these dates of sponsorship?

I came to UK on Aug 30, 2016 - it is the start date on my entry clearance and my BRP issued date is Aug 16, 2016.

No an issue as you can apply for ILR within 28 days before reaching 5 years.

Your residence clock starts from the date your initial visa was ISSUED.

My BRP has issue date Aug 16, 2016 and only date my entry clearance visa has is Aug 30, 2016 as a valid from date. which is my UK entry date as well. Should I start 28 days backward from Aug 30 or Aug 16? thanks
