Tier 2 Dependent Extension funds maintenance 90 days counting/calculation & Main applicant is on ILR

Post by jprg » Thu Sep 05, 2019 1:13 am

Hi All,

I really need an advice from you. I recently (March 2019) got my ILR (via 5 year Tier 2 General Visa).

I would like to apply Tier-2 dependent visa extension (same day service via online) for my wife - Since Jun 2016 she is on Tier 2 Dependent Visa and her visa is expiring on 26 Nov 2019. So I would like to apply for her visa extension for 2 more years.

Q1). We started maintaining funds £640 (actually we are maintaining £1000) in her account from 29 Aug 2019 and her visa is expiring on 26 Nov 2019. I counted the days from 29 Aug 2019 to 26 Nov 2019, its exactly 90 days (including 29 Aug 2019 and 26 Nov 2019), is this the right way of counting days.

Q2) Can my wife submit the application on 26 Nov 2019 and if we submit online application on 29 Nov 2019, it means we made application on time right?

Q3) Can I get printed and stamped bank statement from the bank on 26 Nov 2019 and upload in the UKVI site while submitting my application is acceptable or else can I submit the bank statement at the time of appointment after submitting the online application, is this okay.

Q4) My wife visa is expiring on 26 Nov 2019, we have plans to submit online application on 26 Nov 2019 and for biometrics appointment date will be few days after 26 Nov 2019, roughly 03 Dec 2019/05 Dec 2019, If I get a printed and stamped bank statement from the bank and upload in the UKVI site, is that helpful?

Q5) On 2nd Nov 2019, we are travelling to India (home country) and return on 23rd Nov 2019, is this creates any problem to my wife dependent visa extension or any problem in immigration/ airport authority.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thank you,
jprg.

Hi All,

If anyone can kindly resolve my doubts that would be great.

There was a typo error in question no 2, my wife visa expiring on 26 Nov 2019, if we submit application on 26 Nov 2019, it means we made application on time right.

Thank you,
Jprg.

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online so yes it would be an in time application.

Hi CR001,

Thanks for your reply.

Kindly help me with the below doubts please

I counted the days from 29 Aug 2019 to 26 Nov 2019, its exactly 90 days (including 29 Aug 2019 and 26 Nov 2019), is this the right way of counting days.

Q3) we have plans to submit online application on 26 Nov 2019 and for biometrics appointment date will be few days after 26 Nov 2019, roughly 03 Dec 2019/05 Dec 2019, If I get a printed and stamped bank statement from the bank and upload in the UKVI site, or else can I submit the bank statement at the time of appointment after submitting the online application, is this okay.

Q1 - 90 days is from 28th August. https://www.timeanddate.com/date/datead ... ad=90&rec=

Q2 - date of application is the date you submit and pay online and the date that is relevant to your supporting documents. You upload the documents before your appointment.

Q3 - Free to travel while she has a valid visa.

Hi CR001,

Many thanks for your reply and sending me the link

https://www.timeanddate.com/date/durati ... 2019&ti=on

I have used the above link to caliculate days, here I selected ''Include end date in calculation (1 day is added)'' then it is 90 days.
If I don't select the ''Include end date in calculation (1 day is added)'' it is showing 89 days only.

So if i submit application and pay online on 26 Nov 2019 and get the bank statement on 28th or 29th Nov and upload documents before my appointment date (appointment date roughly 30th Nov), by the time of appointment fund maintenance days are roughly 95 days?

Thank you,
Jprg.

The bank statements and all supporting documents must be dated on or before the date of application, ie 26 November.

Hi CR001,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

https://www.timeanddate.com/date/durati ... 2019&ti=on

I have used the above link to calculate days, here I've ticked/selected ''Include end date in calculation (i.e 29 Aug 2019 to 26Nov2019)'' then it is 90 days.

If I don't select the ''Include end date in calculation (i.e 26 Nov 2019 in not counted)'' it is showing 89 days only, if it is 89 days then my application will be rejected right.

For Example: If I am maintaining funds from 29 Aug 2019 to 26 Nov 2019, here I've taken both 29 Aug 2019 and 26 Nov 2019 into account? kindly let me know case worker count 29 Aug 2019 as day 1 and 26 Nov 2019 as day 90, kindly clarify.

Thanks,
Jprg
