Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 general dependent - ILR

Post by vishalattrey » Mon Nov 11, 2019 3:04 pm

Hi All,

I am currently on Long term Tier 2 ICT VISA till Nov 2022. My wife is already on Tier 2 General dependent from June 2019 till June 2024. Just wanted to know that when my wife will apply for ILR after completion of 5 years. Can I switch to her Tier 2 general visa as dependent just before the 5 year period & claim for ILR. Or do I have to stay for another 5 years post her getting ILR to get my ILR?

Thanks!

Check your post. Is she a dependent visa holder or a main tier 2 general visa holder??

You would have to wait 5 years on Tier 2 dependent visa before you qualify for ILR. You cannot combine ICT time with dependent time to make up 5 years for ILR.
