Switching job with a Tier 2 VISA

Post by suneelkv » Mon Jan 06, 2020 12:38 pm

Dear Forum,

I had stayed in UK from 2013 Sept to 2018 Sept on a Tier 2 ICT and returned back to India to finish my cooling period.
In fact I have finished cooling and now I am asking my employer to go for a Tier 2 General instead of Tier 2 ICT.

I just want to know from the forum that if I would look to switch a job change in UK can I do that once I am there in UK on a Tier 2 general VISA, or should I need to visit embassy to change my VISA to the new employer, if I get a job after coming there, may be too early to ask, but just want to clarify before travelling on Tier 2 General ?

Regards,
Suneel

If you have a tier 2 sponsor and want to change jobs, you need a new ho approved sponsor, rlmt must be done if applicable and you have to apply for a new visa with a restricted cos from sponsor.

You can apply for a visa within the UK if changing sponsors.

Visa fee and IHS will be payable again.
