Passport validity for in country applications

Hi I’m now applying for tier 2 dependent for my partner. It’s an in-country application and my partner’s passport is expiring on 5th February 2021 which means less than 6 months validity left. Is it possible to apply for dependent visa with this passport? Or need to get a new one?

Yes. There is no requirement that it must be valid for x number of months.
Or need to get a new one?
No. Simply renew when necessary at the appropriate time.
