FLR Application

Post by Anntickle » Sat Mar 08, 2025 1:08 pm

Hello all,
I hope this message finds you well. I need legal advice on my situation below.
My partner and I have been here on a skilled worker visa for a year. This was on a COS visa category. Unfortunately the COS was cancelled as a result for reasons unknown to us and all efforts to get some reason from COS sponsor has proved futile. Unfortunately the communication from the home office came as an email to my partner on the 16th of December 2024 which he did not see until about a week ago, regards to cancelling our COS. The email gave us till the 14th of February 2025 to vacate the United Kingdom.
I would like to find out if there are any alternative solutions in terms of getting another COS to switch to in order to get a new sponsor or move onto a different category of visas in order to continue my stay in the United Kingdom.

Kind regards.

Annie

Your visa was curtailed to 14th February. You are both overstayer now. You should be planning to leave rhe hk.

What job did the main skilled worker do?

Data entry. Whiles I was doing care as a dependant and our son has settled in school. Asking if there can be an extension as we have settled and we have loans credit cards etc.

You are unlikely to be successful in a visa now as it is more than 14 days since the date your visa was curtailed to. The email received would have clearly stated you either have to make an application or leave the UK by the 14th December.

As you have only been in the UK for a year, there is no route such as Private Life applicable.

Was your husband made redundant?

Is the sponsor company still on the official sponsor list?

What was the SOC for his job title used on the CoS?

How did he find this job? Date entry is a low level job and unsure you can get a skilled worker visa for such a low level administrative job.

Did he pay a large fee to someone for the company to issue a CoS?
