Limited company on tier 2 visa

Post by rsrameshsunil » Wed Jul 27, 2011 12:07 am

I am currently on PSW and I am trading as IT contractor through my own private limited company where i am the only director. I am also in the process of receiving a nod from a Tier 2 sponsor and soon would be applying for Tier 2 general visa.

Assuming that i receive my Tier 2 visa sooner, I am concerned that the company I opened while under PSW would still take atleast 3 months time to be struck off from the register.
I would like to know if this causes any problem. ( being a director of a limited company while under Tier 2 visa)

Also, if possible, can i resign from my own company as a sole director? and does that solve the issue?

any help would be appreciated.

if you are deemed to be the company director(self-employed) WHILE on a tier 2 visa... you are in a breach of immigration law.

you better sort it out BEFORE applying for a tier 2 visa!
