Tier 4 student rights help! URGENT!

Post by cooolpavan » Mon Jul 04, 2011 5:07 pm

I enrolled for msc program for which i got awarded for PG Diploma without dissertation on 10th June.

The UKBA website says that a person can stay upto 60 days after end of course but I called up UKBA to confirm the same and they are telling me that one should leave UK as soon as possible. I am waiting to get my diploma certificates.

Please anyone in the same situation? What is the correct thing? Does the 60 days rule really apply? thats what they claim in website

Normally, you may remain until your leave expires or is curtailed (323) or you're subject to removal.

According the UKBA website, it says that candidate can stay up to 60 days after the dipoma

So it should be 60 days?

Vinny, shouldn't the curtailment period starts only when the applicant is overstaying as per immigration laws? How to interpret the UKBA rules of person can stay upto 60 days in connection with curtailment clause?

If your leave is curtailed to 60 days, then you should depart or extend or switch to another category within that time.
