naturalisation for wife and son

Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find a thread.

I recently got naturalised and both my wife and 4 year old son are on ILR, would someone know if can apply for their naturalization immediately after I receive my certificate or wait till I get the British passport which might take couple of months ? Thanks

They can apply immediately using your naturalisation certificate and if they have been resident for 3 years. Make sure that they were physically present in the UK exactly 3 years ago on the date that HO receives their applications and that your wife has not exceeded the 270 days absence for 3 years and no more than 90 days absence in the last 12 months.
