more details about the Biometrics Enrollment letter for MN1

Dear Experts

Apologies if my post was at the wrong thread previously.
I have looked through other MN1 posts but as my question relates to the recently introduced Biometrics Enrollment Process, I have been unable to find an answer
Could anyone please help:

Does anyone know what the biometric letter states exactly - we'll be travelling soon after we post the application (I'm an EU citizen so we have passports, etc) and we'll be back 25 days after we post the application... I have heard the biometric letter gives 21 (working or not?) days to apply in a post office. Is that so?

Also can one go to any post office or does the letter state a Specified Post Office to go to, and no other.

Finally, does an appointment need to be booked or can one just walk in?

The above are my main concerns really, however if anyone would be willing to share/confirm on some of the below that would be very kind:
Going by posts on other MN1 threads, it seems the date fees are deducted is the same that the biometric letter is dated (not received)?
As we'll be travelling soon after we send the application I was wondering if we could do the Biometrics from another EU country..I dont think there is such an option, but any input is very much appreciated?
I've looked at the overseas offices where biometrics can be taken and none seem to be EU..
Our baby is only 3 months old so he needs simply a photo...

Unlikely you will receive biometric letter while you are away.

You have 15 days to submit biomtrics once you receive the letter. If you don't, they will likely send a second letter. Ignoring the first letter just causes a delay with your application.

Any post office although please note that not all post offices offer the service.

No, you do not need an appointment, it is a walk in service.

One thing in regards to the 15 day deadline - I was told by the NCS it's 21 and I blearily remember having spoken to the Home Office as well and them saying it's 21 as well..
May I ask whether you are certain it's 15 days

Once you receive the citizenship approval/invitation letter, you have 21 days to book your ceremony.

You have 15 days to enroll biometrics once you receive the letter. If you search the forum/timeline threads, you will find the information. I was not required to do biometrics when I did citizenship but for BRP card replacement, it was 15 days to do biometrics at post office.

Noajthan, thanks for the link. I had actually previously read this biometrics document but wasn't sure if it applied to infants' biometrics nor was I sure what the HO referred to when saying "If a person is sent a rejection warning letter" . It sounded like not everyone gets a warning letter.......?
