Towards the end of the application, you will be given a link to a form you get your referees to fill. Also, if you download the paper application, there is also a section for your referees to fill.

You can apply with your expired foreign passport.

For online application: Referees do not fill anything. The applicant has to ask their personal details required (name address passport number email etc) and the applicant fills the info in the form.
The applicant then prints the form in the end, has to paste a photo and get the referee to sign it. Then the form is uploaded.

Referee Question

Post by aron1234 » Sun Dec 15, 2019 9:35 am

I am filling up my referee section and one of my referee is my estate agent , I just want to clarify with someone on the online application form it says the referee "must not be a relative, solicitor or agent of the applicant"

I read some other sites where it says referee must not be the applicant’s solicitor or agent representing him or her with the application

but it is not very clear in the actual online application.

Would someone confirm can my estate agent be one of the referee (british citizen) and is there any link in the home office website regarding referee

Is it for the professional referee or the other referee?

It is for the british citizen purpose, not for professional reference

Then fine. The requirement is only that they are over 25 and British and have known you for 3 years minimum. Their job title is irrelevant.

Hello thanks for that

I have one more question regarding professional reference. I was about to submit reference from a doctor working in nhs but I can only see Nurse as accepted list of profession in this list which I found in another post here

https://www.gov.im/media/624353/listofreferees.pdf

Is the above gov site or do you have a link to the list of referees (are doctors in the list )

Doctors haven't been on the list for a number of years now.

Usually the professions on the list, which is the whole purpose of having the accepted professions list.

If HO is not happy with your referee, they will likely ask you for another one.

As already mentioned above, your expired passport is fine but gather some evidence to go with it to prove your residency since the time it expired. For instance P60s, letter from employer/s etc.

On the current employment section I can only enter one details either the company director details or self employment and all other options are for previous employment.

How do I provide details of my director job and the self employment work.
