Travel time limit after applying for naturalisation

I have read in a few places that your are able to travel after applying if the application was via NCS.
Do the limits on the number of days outside the UK still apply once the application has been made?
I am hoping to ski this winter so will work to the limit but do not want to be unable to travel for up to six months while my application is being processed.

No they don't. You are free to travel once you have submitted your application.
