Form to register child under 18 as British Citizen

Post by londonent » Wed Jul 15, 2020 3:59 pm

Guys, I am totally confused. I have filled in a form to register my child (who is 12) as a British citizen. The form was online and filled in with my own application for naturalization. On the form it asked about the date when the child entered the UK but it did not ask for the child's absences. I note that the form MN1 which you can print out actually does have a place to list absences, so I am wondering why the online form did not ask for that information? Am I missing something?
Also, the problem is that I already submitted the forms...

There is no absence limit for children.

Thank you. Just to confirm so it would have been then normal that online application would not ask to list absences? I am just confused since the MN1 form which you download does have the space to list those absences.

Yes.

The paper form is not for applications within the UK.

Also note that MN1 is used for many different routes to citizenship for children.
