Naturalisation form (MN1) queries

Hi All,

I'm applying for naturalisation of my child in MN1 form and have the following questions, if someone can clarify please.

At the declaration section of the form, it has the following options. As a parent filling the form / making the application on child's behalf, should I select option 1 or 2?
1) I am the applicant
2) I am the representative of the applicant and have been authorised to act on their behalf....

There is a parents consent form that needs signing by the parents and at the end there is a section which says 'Child's consent where they are making their application on their own behalf' and to be signed by the child.

Should this application considered to be made by child on own behalf though I'm the one (parent) who is actually doing it?

Children are registered as British, not naturalised. Only adults are naturalised.
