Earliest to start MN1 application

I have applied for my ILR this week and waiting for the response now. Is it ok to start MN1 application for my kids born in UK?
Once I receive approval email, do I have to wait for BRPs before submitting MN1?

You can start it but can't submit.
Once I receive approval email, do I have to wait for BRPs before submitting MN1?
Yes as you need the brp as proof of ilr.
