British citizen for my Daughter

Post by Joo » Fri Aug 13, 2021 3:38 pm

Hi All, Hope you are all doing good and Staying safe.

Please need the advice to apply the British citizen for my Daughter

My daughter was born in India and her passport is Indian passport expired in April 2021. She is eligible for British citizenship now in August 2021. where she (my daughter) is on an ILR Visa from 14th August 2020.

Is it okay to apply for British citizenship to my daughter without renewing her Indian passport OR Do I need to renew my daughter's Indian passport and then apply for British citizenship?

Note: Her father and I (her mother) both are on ILR now. And her father (currently on ILR from 2019) is going to apply for his naturalized this month (August 2021 ).can they both apply at the same time for British Citizen.

Advance thank you
Thank you
Jo

If
-the daughter has not yet celebrated their 18th birthday,
-both parents AND the child have ILR, and
-at least one parent is applying for naturalisation at the same time,
then
-yes, the daughter can apply for registration as a British citizen at the same time as the parent's naturalisation.
