Absence

Post by jdb_01 » Tue Jan 25, 2022 7:02 pm

Hi,

I am looking to apply for citizenship. I have had 114 days absence in last 13 months as I got stuck due to Covid. If I apply today then the number of days in last 12 months from today drops to 78. Would that be ok to obtain citizenship or should I wait bit longer? Is 90 day rule strictly last 12 months from date of application or can be any 12 consecutive months?

Thanks

It is strictly the 12 month period immediately prior to the date you apply and pay.
