Being in the uk 5 years before - exact date?

Hi everyone,

a quick and simple question about the following requirement for naturalization:
"You must have been physically in the UK exactly five years before the date the application reaches the Home Office"

What is the exact date the application reaches the Home Office? Is it when you finish the online application and pay the fee?
I have paid today and 5 years ago today I was in the UK. What if I attend my ukvcas appointment on a date not satisfying this requirement? Has it anything to do with it?
