No. It's a civil matter and not relevant to the 'good character' criteria for British citizenship. I hope you soon find a new home to settle in.OMARMOH wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 10:47 pmhi, I am applying to British citizenship in 2 weeks (+12 months ILR and more than 10 years in the UK), however, I received a (valid) notice 21 letter with all associated documents of the property last 2 months. I could not find a property to move out so me and my family decided to stay but we were notified a few days ago to attend to the Court in Jan for a possession order. My question is, being in the court for the above case, does that negatively impact my citizenship application? If so, any advice what shall I do, please?
It shouldn't do. Could be worth speaking to a homelessness charity/solicitor for more precise advice and if it gives you reassurance write a cover letter about it.OMARMOH wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 10:47 pmhi, I am applying to British citizenship in 2 weeks (+12 months ILR and more than 10 years in the UK), however, I received a (valid) notice 21 letter with all associated documents of the property last 2 months.
