Family Nationalization Application - Referee Forms

Post by ceratti1975 » Tue Feb 11, 2025 4:33 pm

Hi there,

I've just completed submitting my family nationalization application, and I have the forms that need to be signed by the referees. However, I'm uncertain about how to proceed with distributing these forms.

1. The document states that we need to glue passport-sized pictures onto each form. Is it acceptable for me to scan the document and paste the pictures digitally instead?

2. If I do glue the pictures onto the forms, can I scan the completed forms and send them to the referees? Some of them live in different cities.

3. Alternatively, do I need to handle everything manually and deliver the forms to each referee for them to sign?

Ultimately, I should scan these forms to upload them to UKVCAS, right? Since I chose the free service, I have to upload everything before our appointments. I'm not sure if it matters whether I scan the original documents that we print, or if the referees should scan the documents they need to sign and send them to me instead.

Thank you for your assistance!

Many thanks.

Ignore this! Goes back to the paper application days.

Yes.
3. Alternatively, do I need to handle everything manually and deliver the forms to each referee for them to sign?
No.

Mistake with Referees on Naturalisation Application – What Can I Do?

Post by ceratti1975 » Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:28 pm

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I completed the naturalisation application process for my family and me, but I think I made a mistake with the referees. I originally thought the second referee had to be the professional and the first just needed to be a British citizen. Now, as I’m preparing the forms to send to the referees to sign, I’ve realised my mistake.

What should I do in this situation?

Many thanks!

It doesn't matter which one is which as long as they meet the requirements.

Thank you for your answer. For the four of us, the second is the professional standing, and the first is just a citizen. Would it be okay then?

If the citizen is over 25 and they are not related by marriage or blood they are ok.
