Hi everyone
I am a new member of this forum. Already I got lots of help from site. Today I would like to request again to our senior members for the following query:

I am applying for ILR very soon after 10 years living in the UK. My wife and a little baby also live with me but they are here in dependent visa. MY wife is pregnant again. If I get my ILR and the new baby would born in the UK will that new baby get the British citizenship straight way? or whats the procedure please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dina123

Once you get ILR,The new Baby born in the UK will be british by birth and with Full Birth certificate,You can apply for british passport straight away.

I am not a senior member and If I am wrong,I hope senior members correct me.

Regards
Jaffar

if child was born before your husband become British your child is`t British yet so you can`t apply for his passport. you will have to register child first using MN1 form, and than apply for his passport. let us know if IPS kept the passport fee for unsuccessful passport application.

you may need his current passport. or thats may delay the application. when I applied for my son passport countersignee did`t provide his passport number on the form and that delayed application for about 2-3 weeks.
