Hi,
My son was born when we were on Tier-1 . We have now got ILR and my son only has a birthcertificate and doesn't have passport of any country as yet. Can he be naturallized as British citizen?
Thanks

If the child's (born in the UK) parent has become settled in the United Kingdom or becomes a British citizen, the child will have an entitlement to register as a British citizen. This registration would be under section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981.

Hi,
Just to confirm, What do I select in form MN1 for when was the child granted ILR? My son doesn't have it. Also for reference is it necessary to get HV reference? I can't contact hv and my appintment is on tuesday.

The question is, if the child has ILR, just write next to: does not have ILR. For references see pg 26

Gp should be fine. The professional doesn't need to hold a British passport but the other does.

Hi,
I got one reference from minister of religion but he said he doesn't have a passport and other from my neighbour who's an ex-teacher but even her passport is expired and she hasn't even applied for a new one.
The minister of religion gave his consent to attach his visiting card with the application and also my neighbour is ready to give her birthcertificate and(or) driving license photocopies to support their citizenship.
will this be ok or should I get other referees?
