Passport for new born baby after parents granted ILR:

Post by matiq » Fri Jul 12, 2013 10:19 am

Hi Gurus,

Am I right to say that I can apply straightaway for British passport (without registering / Naturalizing) for my new born baby boy as we (me and Mrs) had granted ILR earlier this year?

FYI, I have got the full birth certificate of baby already.

Thanks in Advance!

Assuming the child was born in the UK (which I guess he was as you refer to full birth certificate).

I am wondering what i need to send with passport application form:

1) Baby's Full Birth Certificate
2) 2 Identical Photos (1 countersigned)
3) One of the Parents (Father) Passport

4) One of the Parents (Father) Biometric ILR card??? (I am not sure about it) Can some Guru Confirm?

Thanks

Yes, you have to send biometric card showing immigration status ie ILR.
