Applying for British Passport - Can I still travel?

I've taken the oath & pledge and got my citizenship certificate last week.
Nest step/stop is British passport, which I intend to do via Post Office Check & Send early next week.
My question is: As it normally takes 6 weeks to get a passport (not to mention the interview); can I travel overseas using my current Indian passport during these 6 weeks time?

Also, at what point do I need to stop traveling on existing passport (or have I gone past that point after receiving citizenship certificate?)

PS: I have BRP and ILR.

Any help will be appreciated.

You need to give your current passport with your application.

British passport only takes 2 weeks max. they say 6 weeks for someonewho is born in the UK. Reason is; for someone who is born in the UK, they dont do checks as for us checks are done by home office while apporving application

Check the sticky on British Passport for approval timelines

As an Indian passport holder you can use your Indian passport for travel upto 3 months from the date of citizenship ceremony without incurring any penalty.
