Our ILR is due feb 10, our son was born in aug 2014, we have not applied for his Indian passport as we understand that once we get ILR, we can register him as British citizen n then apply for British passport straight away. We are planning to travel to India on April 01, so was wondering if all this process will complete by then. Can anyone who applied for child registration recently tell me about the waiting times.

Too close to call tbh even if you're going for same day service for your ILR. From the current timeline 2 months window to apply for naturalisation and then passport is a bit too tight.
If you can't delay the travel then I would recommend getting him Indian passport and including him in your ILR application of course he's can still apply for naturalisation once he's eligible.
