I don't hold my breath on quick respond in week time I'm going to wait for 5 months. Just downhearted really by all this experience.

Same here but they do say it can take up to 6 months so as hard and frustrating but as it is, we just have to wait.
It's been 4 and a half months for us since applying, and 4 months since biometric so hopefully we will get approval very soon! I will send them a letter of nothing by the 6 month mark!

I applied on the 27th of March and can't get a reply or a straight answer from anyone.

it took them a month to send biometrics letter, and no acknowledgement letter. they said they sent biometrics letter on the 16th of june but i have never received it, so emailed them and they sent second one. it took them 3 weeks to answer my email.
now just waiting since 3/6/15

For eagerly waiting people this is a nice resource of reassurance and one place to view all the statistics of forum applicants since April.

For example it feels like they are going quite fast through August applicants now, but completely forgot all unapproved applications from previous months. No happy news in the spreadsheet for April, May, June lately... I myself am 1st of July, still waiting as well...

I submitted my on 26/06/2015 and got the approval today exactly after 4 months (the letter on the date says 15/10/15 though)

I have a question. Once i have got the date for the ceremony, how long will it take for my passport to be delivered to me?

I am looking to travel in December and my Pakistani passport has expired already. I have an appointment in 2 days to submit the renewal of my pakistani passport. However, I was hoping to get my british passport in time which would save me the cost of getting my pakistani passport renewed??

congratulations on getting approved. well you have to either renew your passport or make new NOIC for Pakistan because you will need it for entry there.
and about Passport so it depends some receive it soon , some get it after few weeks. My passport application took 11 days from date of submission to the day I received it.

I have an appointment on friday to get my NOIC modified after which i will getting my appointment booked to get my passport renewed.

My family lives in Dubai, so i will be going to visit them there in December.

Would you know what is the process now. I know that i will be getting my certificate at the ceremony. Will i be applying for the passport immediately after getting my certificate? will i be submitting my passport application then and there? where do i get this application form from?

I am sorry for so many questions, I just want to expedite the process from my end. I want to calculate roughly how long it will take for the british passport to be with me so I can decide if i need to get my pakistani passport renewed or not.

Are you from Dubai? Only reason i ask is because i am from Dubai too (talk about a small world!).

Congratulations on receiving the approval. This should be a massive relief. On your travels, I would strongly advice not to make any travel plans until and unless you have obtained your British Passport. This is because when you make your application for your first British passport you may or may not be called in for an interview. Hence it is advised by the HO themselves on not to make any firm travel plans.

I am in the same boat as you, planning to travel to Dubai in Dec too. Cant wait for that feeling to travel to Dubai without the visa.

Can I check with those who have been successful for their naturalisation application:

Is the final approval letter delivered by signed for post? Is it by royal mail or was it by private courier?

And am assuming that they still use the famous brown envelope?

Just a thought after looking at the Naturalisation approval database,

It looks like people who applied from 1st till mid June 2015 did not a quick reply.

May be these cases were assigned to a caseworker who went on leave. Anyone knows how case are allocated or how caseworkers work

Hi everyone. My case, I think, is a bit worrying. It is more than 4.5 months now and I am still waiting for invitation for Biometrics... 3 weeks ago wrote an e-mail to the address provided by Citizenship and nationality enquiries helpline. 2 weeks ago repeated the same: called helpline, got the same e-mail address, wrote another e-mail questioning about Biometrics invitation. Heard nothing back.
Does anyone have any ideas, please, what else can be done in my case?
