Hi all,

Had an NCS appointment (Merton council) on Monday 30th and was given a Royal Mail Special Delivery tracking number, however, it's now Wednesday but it's still not tracking (Sorry - we don't recognise that reference number).

Called NCS, they told me that allegedly Home Office (?) only registers the tracking number when they receive the papers, so there might be a delay and I need to give it another day or two. Did anyone have experience like this? I thought that all Special Delivery had to go through the normal post and would at least register on the system when it's sent?

Did you check tracking number on Royal Mail website?

It doesn't really matter as the date of interview is your date of application so the bundle is within the system.

Are you sure it is a royal mail tracking number? Some councils send the docs through DX.
