British Citizenship -online application question

Hello,

I'm applying for British Citizenship online and there is a section where it asks you about time you have spent in other countries. The form asks what countries have you visited. I have visited France but my flights have landed in Spain and then I have caught a bus/ train in to France. I have put that I have been visiting France but wanted to check this was the right thing to do because the stamps in my passport will all be from Spain so may be a bit confusing. Unfortunately they don't allow space for any comments in the boxes.

Any advice would be helpful.

Hello!

I'd just put down that you visited Spain and France so mark it as "SPAIN/FRANCE" in the box. They are more concerned with the number of absent days.

Also, don't count the day that you travelled and the day you arrived back into the UK. These are discounted from the number of days absent :)

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately it's just a drop down list so I can only pick one country.
There's room for 30 characters (roughly 5 words) in the 'reason for trip' section so I could put Country Visited Spain and Reason for Trip - visiting partner in France? I was going to put visiting partner and working so I would have to omit the working bit to fit that in.

I don't know if that's any less confusing then putting Country Visited France and reason for trip visiting partner/ working then having my passport stamped Spain?

Thanks

Hello,

I'm filling out my British Citizenship online application and needed help on a question -

I have been asked for the Tax Office Reference number of my employer.
My employer has given me two numbers and I'm not sure which one it would be -
one is 10 numbers and the other one which is a PAYE reference is 3 numbers then a dash and then a mixture of 7 letters and numbers.

Can anyone please advise what is the correct format for this number?

Thank you!

Thank you. Is that your employer's tax reference number i.e.- not your self employed tax reference number for PAYE? I'm not self employed so wanted to make sure that was also the correct format for the employer's tax code reference

Thanks.

It's related to your employer. Mine is in this format ABC 123/A100.

In P60s this is showing as just 123/A100.

ABC is the short abbreviation for my office name.
