Happy new year, my family and I are overstayers. We came to the uk in 2002 and we received DLR in 2011, ILR in 2017. We are due to apply for Naturalisation this April 2021 as that will be when the 10 year ban for good character ends due to the overstaying. My question is does anyone have any idea whether it will be ok to apply 2/3 before April or does it categorically have to be to the date the 10 years reach? Thank you

10 years from the date you got your first valid leave.

Hello, In 2017 I was sent on a driving course for over spending by the met police. No points were put on my licence and didnt have to pay a fine. Do i need to declare this? I am due to apply For naturalisation in april after holding ILR since 2017 and DLR since 2011. Thanks

I have read the referee form and I do not understand parts of which which is why Im asked for clarification.

‘On the back of the applicant’s photograph, please write their full name and date of birth. The photograph should then be glued into the space aside.’ The photographs are supposed to be digital so im asking if we are meant to print it out?

You need to glue a physical photo of yourself (the applicant) on each of the referee forms. You need to print the forms and get your referees to sign the forms and send them back to you.

Could some one please help

My family and I are applying for naturalisation 14th april 2021. But my mother who was married to british citizen and now divorced travelled abroad 12th april 2018 till may 2018 so essenstially wasnt in the UK during those times, is she still able to submit her application next week or will it affect her qualifying period? Also although she’s divorced, is she bound by 3 years or 5 years rule?

If she is divorced she applies based on 5 years. The 3 year route is only applicable if currently married to a British citizen.

She must be physically present in UK in April 2016 in this case. No divorce proof is needed. She will apply as per Section 6(1) BNA 1981 in her own right if she meets all other requirements.
