PBS Dependent ILR - Qualifying Period

Post by mannarmathai » Fri Dec 28, 2018 1:31 pm

Hi Gurus ,

I got my ILR in March 2018 [ PBS Tier 2 General ] , My query is regarding when i can proceed with the ILR application for my dependents

My wife applied for her visa from india on 11/03/2014 , she got her visa with a valid from date 29/04/2014 . She arrived in the UK on 29/July/2014.

As i had renewed my Tier2 visa , the second time , a bit earlier the end date on my visa [ at that time ] and my wifes visa is on 29/03/2019 . We are currently worried whether we will be able to apply for ILR before the current visa expires .

1 ) Could my wife apply for ILR [ sometime in march 2019 ] considering her first visa application date [ 11-03-2014 ] . As per the following document , the application date is also considered [ did i understand it wrongly ?

2 ) If no for the above ; What are the options other than extending the current visa . Is there any possibility of extending the visa for a year ?

Kindly advice

Thanks ,
Mann

The link reference to date of application is the date of ILR application, NOT the date of application for an entry clearance visa. In your wife's case, it is the date the visa was ISSUED that starts the clock for ILR.
