ILR qualify date for Tier2 dependents

Hi Members,

We have doubts regarding ILR application qualifying date.
Our details as follow:

My husband (Tier2 General) we dependents Tier 2 general dependents got our visas issued on 02/02/2015.

He came to UK on 23/02/2015.
We joined on 26/05/2015.

Our visas got renewed on 15/02/2018 and valid till 03/03/2021.

When we enquired a solicitor he says,

My husband is eligible for ILR by 06/01/2020.We are eligible by around 1st May 2020.

From this forum we understand that we all can apply by 06/01/2015.

Even if we entered UK, with delay of more than 90 days can we apply by 06/01/2015?
The reason they site is I need to be with my husband in UK for at least 5 years.
Please let us know.We are bit confused now.

Your ilr qualifying period starts from the initial date your visa was issued and not your date of entry to the UK.
