FLR(M) to ILR 5 years counting period

Post by Bandit » Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:05 pm

Hello Friends,
I hope you all are doing good. I really need one of the experience friends help to understand the 5 years counting period on my case. your help would be appreciated. I need help to understand when i can apply for ILR. my story is - 5 years FLR(M) route :

Granted FLR(M) 33 months on February 2015 to August 2017
Applied for extension on August 2017 but application was refused.
The appeal process was for 7 months.
Won the appeal and had my BRP for 33 months which is April 2018 to October 2020.

I know i will have to be on this route for 5 years , but when i would be eligible to apply for ILR. Do i have to wait till October 2020 or am i allowed to apply on February 2020 which is 5 years. Is the appeal time excluded or included. Many thanks

Your residence starts from the date you entered the UK in 2015.

Hello there, I have been living in UK since 2009 but i was on different visa, my FLR(M) in UK started from February 2015. As i had to appeal and it took 7 months , shall i count that 7 months too or it wouldn't be counted towards 5 years.

Time spent on appeal, as long as appeal was lodged in time, counts as you are protected under Section 3c of the immigration rules.

Why not apply for ILR based on 10 years long residence this year??

ILR application time

Post by Bandit » Tue Nov 05, 2019 12:33 pm

Dear friends

I am sorry to ask the same question again . I totally lost the answer. Your yes/no answer would be really appreciated :

I received my FLR(m) 5 years route visa on 8 February 2015 (2.5 years). Then in July 2017 I applied for extension on same day service. But it was refused under Toeic issue with right to appeal. I won the appeal and received my visa again on 4 April 2018 for 2.5 years. Am i good to apply my ILR on 20th January 2020 (28 days before ) or do i have to wait till August 2020 when my visa finishes.

I know its a silly question but always good to double check with the others who already faced this.

Thanks in advanced :)

Dear friends

I know this question has asked lots of time but still didn’t find my answer here.

I just applied for set m , in the English knowledge section - Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013?”

I answered- yes and they haven’t asked me to enter the certificate number.

I seen members are suggested to answer- No. but I think i made a mistake.

I am so worried now, did any of you answered Yes and does anyone know the possible problem/ affect can happen on my application. I am totally sweating now🙁🙁🙁🙁

Please share if you face this

I take it you have a approved English test or equivalent and LIUK test pass. Upload evidence of both and they’ll see it when they check your application.

Hello friends
Its been a long 10 years journey. Was following this group for long long time.

Just to let you know that today i went for same day service SET M application and after submitting my doc they took only 10 min to give my decision.

I uploaded my documents 3 days earlier than my biometric date. Today during biometric the lady said - your case worker seems like already verified your all uploaded documents as it says in front of my documents ( verified). So after finishing with library, by the time i came out , I straight way had an email saying my ILR granted 😁😁yayyy.

Thanks friends for your all support , best of luck rest of you and see you in another group
