Email from Home Office regarding documents

Post by lozzyj » Wed Jun 17, 2020 10:54 am

Hi there,

We submitted our ILR application last week, and have today received the following email from WandSContingencyCaseworkDocumentReturn@homeoffice.gov.uk

MY QUESTION: IS THIS LEGIT? I AM HESITANT TO SEND SUCH PERSONAL DOCUMENTS BY EMAIL WITHOUT VERIFYING THAT THIS IS REAL AND TRUE.

Dear xxxx

I am writing in relation to the application you have submitted for indefinite leave to remain under Representative of an Overseas Business in the United Kingdom application reference number xxxx

Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and the latest government advice, for the safety of our customers and our staff, we have suspended the UKVCAS service locations where you would ordinarily take your documents to be scanned in support of your application along with submitting your biometric details.

We are keen for this disruption to have a minimal impact on our processing times and as such we are asking that you send us scanned copies of the following documents: -

If you have a registered branch/wholly owned subsidiary in the UK;

BRP card
Evidence that you meet Appendix KOLL of the Immigration Rules
Police Registration Certificate (if you were asked to register with the police on your previous grant of leave)
Evidence to show that you are employed full time of that overseas business and has established, and is in charge of its registered branch or wholly owned subsidiary
Companies House certificate of registration as a UK establishment (for a branch, and a certificate of incorporation (for a subsidiary)
Evidence to show that you are still required for the employment, as certified by your employer
Copy of share register or a letter from the company’s accountant confirming that all shares are held by the parent company
Evidence of receipt of salary from employer – evidence of salary paid in the previous 12 months and the constitution of the remuneration package
Evidence to show that you have generated business since last grant of leave. Evidence must be in form of accounts, invoices letters from firms who the applicant has done business with, including the value of transactions

If you are applying as a representative of an overseas newspaper, news agency or broadcasting organisation;

BRP card
Evidence that you meet Appendix KOLL of the Immigration Rules
Police Registration Certificate (if you were asked to register with the police on your previous grant of leave)
Evidence to show that you are still engaged in the employment which the entry clearance was granted, and you are still required for the employment, as certified by your employer
Evidence to show that you are employed full time of that overseas business and has established, and is in charge of its registered branch or wholly owned subsidiary
Evidence of receipt of salary from employer – evidence of salary paid in the previous 12 months and the constitution of the remuneration package

To the e-mail address WandSContingencyCaseworkDocumentReturn@homeoffice.gov.uk where we will be able to process your application to the next stage of our assessment which will minimise delays to your application caused by these extraordinary circumstances.

If you are unable to provide the requested documents due to the current situation, please reply to the above e-mail address. This will not adversely affect your application.

Yes, it is legitimate, many have received the same.
