Do you or anyone else who is part of this application receive any public funds?

Post by luckyravi17 » Sun Nov 01, 2020 7:18 pm

Hi , I’m currently on ILR, my wife is on tier 2 dependent visa. I’m applying for ILR for my wife . I got stuck with the application and need some urgent advice . As I’m on ILR I’m claiming benefits since past 5 years as I also got child but while doing the SET(O) application , I come across this question , what is my wife supposed to answer this question ?
What if I answer yes dies this affect my wife’s ilr visa getting refused?
If I answer no does this mean are we lying ?
Please somebody help with an answer .
Thank you
ravi

You are not the part of application, therefore, the answer should be "no"

Thanks for taking time and responding . Very much appreciated . I posted the same question on google and I come across an answer to say yes and produce any payments received letters or bank statements for last 12 month period . And this is where I’m confused . Can my wife still answer this question as no and proceed with the application.

Yep, she can.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Same question is now incorporated on almost all of the online application forms even belong to other categories too. Many times the answers found through google search devoid its appurtenant backdrop.
