Expired passport

Post by hanhann » Mon Nov 23, 2020 1:41 pm

Good afternoon board memebers,
i have a quick question, I am applying for ILR very soon through the 5 year marriage route and as I was completing the online form I was informed that I will need to provide my wifes valid passport as proof of her ID/status.
Ive only just realised that my wifes passport expired nearly a year ago! Will this be a problem? I dont think we will have time for her to apply for a renewal. Will it still be okay to use this passport or is it a big no no?
Thanks.

Probably her naturalization certificate might be useable in lieu of passport assuming she is a sponsor holding a British passport.
