ILR (T2G) application need suggestions

Post by umasankark2006 » Wed Feb 03, 2021 11:31 am

Dear
I hope you all having good time.
I would like to get few suggestions regarding my ILR application.

Following are the details of my visa route.
I had applied my first Tier2 general visa from India.
1) My first visa application was refused on 12-Oct-2015 on grounds of appropriate salary. This was due to an error in COS.
Q) Will this be an issue?
2) I applied for Tier2 general visa again in Feb 2016 and visa is approved after getting new COS.
Approved letter states that 25-03-2016 to 14-05-2019
My first visa on pass port (30 days visa) was valid from 25-03-2016 to 24-04-2016.
I travelled to UK on 9-04-2016.
When I collected my BRP card from post office it stated that: Place and Date of issue - UK 11-03-2016.

Q) When I will be eligible to submit my ILR application? I mean which date I should consider, issued date, valid from date or first travelled date.

3) After my first entry to UK, I had changed 3 jobs all are on tier2 general route.
During this period of employment I had travelled outside UK four times.
1 business trip with first employer for 3 weeks in 2016
2 business trips with one of my employer for duration 1 and 2 weeks. in May, June 2019
1 trip to India on annual leave for 3 weeks in August 2019.

Q) What documents I need to submit for these travels. Can you give me copy of absence letter template

4) Currently my visa is valid from 4-12-2019 to 23-03-2022.
I understand that the document I need from current employer are proof of employment, pay slips.
Q) What are the other documents I need from current and previous employers?

5) Address proof:
Q) I have heard that we need to submit 5 different address proofs, is it true? What are accepted documents as part of address proof.
6) Documents validity:
Q) Do I need to submit all the pay slips from all the employers and P45s.
Q) How old the document should be, one month?

Thank you in advance for your time.
Looking forward for valuable comments.

1) No issues
2) Use the date of your visa approval.
3) Employer absence letter. Check the top of the forum for sample letter
4) You are now applying for ILR under Skilled Worker Visa which replaced the Tier 2G. See the guide: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... .0-ext.pdf
5) There is no address proof requirement

Thank you Zambia for the document.
While checking the document a point to be noted is "SW 21.1. The applicant must have spent a continuous period of 5 years in the UK.".
Does this mean that we cannot apply 28 days before 5 years. Should we wait for 5 years to complete. In my case I can only submit the application after 25-March-2021?

Thank you

The 28 days concession for ILR still applies. It is not part of the rules to begin with

Thank you for your response Zimba.
Below is my timeline,
Applied for ILR Route :SET(O) Tier 2 general
Type of application: Super priority
Date application submitted:15/03/2021
Document submitted: 17/03/2021
Date Biometrics Enrolled :19/03/2021 (Guildford enhanced service)
SMS: Did not receive sms informing that application has been submitted to UKVI
Approval Received : Waiting (Although I opted for Super priority I may need to wait till Monday I guess  )
BRP Card Received :Waiting

Enhanced service include document checking and scanning service by default, will this cause delay in decision?
Any idea why there is no decision in a one day?

The website clearly states it is the next working day after biomtric enrollment appointment!!

https://www.gov.uk/faster-decision-visa-settlement
To get a decision by the end of the next working day
If you’re eligible you can choose the ‘super priority service’ when you apply. It costs £800 in addition to the application fee.

A decision will be made:

by the end of the next working day after your UKVCAS appointment if your appointment is on a weekday.

2 working days after your UKVCAS appointment if your appointment is at the weekend.

Working days are Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays.

Thank you CR001, I saw some timeline posts stating decision in hours. So I was little worried.
Will wait till Monday evening.

Hello guys,
My ILR is approved on 22nd and so far I have not received any tracking for my BRP card.
Meantime can I apply for jobs? or should I wait for my BRP to arrive?

Please respond.

You need your BRP as proof of ability to work
