Ancestry > ILR - Financial requirement queries

Post by aridavho » Thu Jul 28, 2022 7:48 pm

Hi,

I am about to submit my online application for Indefinite Leave to Remain via my Ancestry Visa, which will expire August 8.

I have a couple of questions that might seem obvious but I keep coming back to them. I am grateful for any help, I really appreciate it! :D

1. In the SET (O) online application form, the question: What is your pay each month after income tax and other deductions? (in GBP)
Does this refer to only deductions from my monthly payslip (e.g., tax, NI contributions, pension contributions), or does 'other deductions' refer to rent, utility bills, council tax, and personal deductions like mobile phone bills?

2. I am concerned about the financial requirement. I can afford to pay for my visa, and my salary is £26'500 per annum; I'll evidence this with 12 months' payslips, P60s and current employer letter. However, after paying for my ILR application, I will only have a couple hundred pounds in my bank account, this will be apparent in my bank statements when my application is processed. Will it be an issue that I have no savings in my account?

Thanks kindly for all of your help once again! Have a nice evening.

1. It is your deductions per your payslips and not your monthly living bills.

2. There is no minimum financial requirement. It is simply a requirement to work and prove you have and are working. There is also no minimum bank balance you are required to maintain.
