Evidence as directed by Appendix FM-SE for a director

Post by djasifali » Fri Jul 14, 2023 2:23 pm

Hi all,

Hope you might be able to guide me as I need some help please.

I am looking to apply for an Indefinite leave to remain for my wife under the 5 year settlement route. In regards with the income we are both showing our income as we both work part-time for a basic of £12500 so this should suffice the requirement for £18,600 for the application.

However, the confusion I have is the application has a question if any one of us is the director of a limited company in UK which would be myself as I have a limited company under my name. Al though all my payslips for last 6 months are from a different company therefore I am not the director of that company. My wife's current payslip is from a new employer and her last 5 months are from my limited company however she is not a director of that company.

So, is it possible to select 'NO' for the question as I am not showing anything current (payslip or employee letter) from my limited company OR
If I select 'Yes' - what evidence exactly should I be sending along with my application as we are both employee of a different company at the time of application?

Hope it makes sense.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

In fact, you should select NO. The application form is NOT a full disclosure. If you do not want to rely on income from your own company, you should select NO. Otherwise, the application form assumes you want to claim points as a director of your own company and gives you an incorrect document list

Pleaze start your own topic instead of tagging onto and hikacking another members topic. It is considered rude and creates confusion.
